5 stars Barberia di Autore in Figueretas – ask for Jonathan. I was in Ibiza this year: sun, beach and sea. One day I went for a haircut at Barberia di Autore, a shop that opened in 2026 or took over the old barber shop there. My barber was Jonathan. I had been looking for my old barber from last year, so I walked through Figueretas towards Playa d’en Bossa, checking one shop after another. With barbers, I look closely: cleanliness, tools, furniture, people, clientele and atmosphere. I have tried barbers through Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and other places, with many disappointments. For me, it is not just cutting hair. It is hygiene, eye, technique, feeling and trust. I withdrew cash nearby, stepped into Barberia di Autore and immediately felt relieved. The shop was clean, discreet, Italian and professional. Not fake luxury, not show over substance, but not careless either. Clean furniture, clean floor, stylish interior. You can feel a real will for quality here. Then came Jonathan. A young barber — but do not let his age fool you. He has more calmness, cleanliness, ambition, talent and respect for his craft than many barbers I have experienced. Even with the language barrier, everything was easy. We used a translator, ChatGPT and English. He was attentive, relaxed, no stress, no pressure, and really tried to understand what I wanted. Then he put on Carl Cox. Mamma mia. Exactly that Ibiza vibe: good music, relaxed mood, clean shop, sun outside, and inside a barber working with full focus. His combs, machines, razors and tools were organized, clean and spotless. Even though everything already looked clean, he disinfected again. With Jonathan, you can feel it: as within, so without. His calmness, order and cleanliness are reflected in his work. I was a little nervous because I have tight curls and a different hair structure. Not everyone can cut that. But Jonathan had the right attitude: a good barber finds the right technique for every hair type. From the way he held the machine, you could see that he was practiced. Wrist movement, angle, pressure, guidance — with him, nothing looked like a fight. Everything looked safe, calm and structured. He worked section by section, systematically, but still with his own flow. That is how you see whether someone understands the bigger picture: head shape, hair structure, fade, face, beard and proportions. If perfection had a name that day, it would have been Jonathan. He checked, corrected, refined and paid attention to every hair with millimeter precision. Where others would say “good enough”, he added another level of care. The fade was bombastic: symmetrical, clean, even, same height, same distance, with a smoky, flowing fade. Many barbers cannot pull off a fade like that. He can. Ice cold. Bomb. Then came the beard: not many hairs, gaps, one side looking darker than the other. Jonathan saw it immediately. One look. Boom. Understood. He adjusted the density and made a beard out of little beard: symmetrical, clean, sharp, but not artificial. The blade contours were precise. Madonna mia, that was clean. When I looked in the mirror, I was amazed. That feeling: oh my God, I look good. I looked really fresh. I walked out full of confidence, joy and satisfaction. The sun was there, Figueretas was there, that Ibiza feeling was there. I walked back towards the beach, nice people looked at me beautifully, and I had that smile on my face because the cut simply sat perfectly. Honestly: I looked so good that people turned around. Even the wind stopped blowing for a moment and paused just to look at me. Later, this haircut made the day even sweeter: limoncello, pizza, seafood, beautiful views, beautiful vibe — and this cut amplified all of it. Grazie, Barberia di Autore Thank you, Jonathan.
